SuperBowl Champion Jacoby Jones In Top 5 On DWTS
Jacoby Jones did well in his dance with his partner Karina Smirnoff on Dancing With The Stars last night. His movements were precise and there was an intensity in the room while the connection with dance was all the way there.
If you watch the show then you know Jones’ mom is always in the stands cheering on her son, and getting mad and making hilarious, but serious remarks at judge Len Goodman not giving Jacoby 10’s. However she was in tears last night because he did so well. He got 10s from all three judges, his first 10 from Len, and his first prefect score.
Jones’ mom talked before his second dance in an inspiring video, mentioning he wanted to be a football player at a young age, and that he didn’t make it on his high school team. He played in college as a walk on, and he never gave up. That is true determination.
Jones was drafted by the Houston Texans in 2007; he unfortunately did not have a good experience (mentioned in the video on DWTS)
He regained his confidence and singed with the Baltimore Ravens in 2012 leading the Ravens to a Super Bowl win against the San Francisco 49ers in that season, earning his first Super Bowl ring.
Carrie Ann Inaba named him the number one entertainer of this season after his second dance last night.
They are down to four contestants and it will be announced who will be in the semifinals tonight (9 p.m. E.T on ABC)
