How to have more ENERGY and avoid FATIGUE with proper nutrition
What do you say energy is? The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines ENERGY as: “a fundamental entity of nature that is transferred between parts of a system in the production of physical change within the system and usually regarded as the capacity for doing work.” So in short energy is your ability to do work. Everything in our world that is living, breathing, operating or moving requires ENERGY. Whether you are a school principal, firefighter, police officer, engineer, football player, basketball player or lacrosse athlete all work requires ENERGY. Some work requires more energy than other types of work.
Of course athletes have a higher ENERGY requirement than non-athletes just like fire fighters have a higher energy requirement than a nurses, yet still all work requires ENERGY. So the Big question is…
How do we get more energy?
We get our ENERGY from food. You could basically say that your food is your FUEL!
Imagine if your body was a car. What type of car would you be? Would you be a Mercedes Benz, Cadillac, Ford or Porsche? Preferably If I were a car I would
Choose to be a 2013 Lamborghini Aventador. Now if I was an elite performing
machine like a Lamborghini Aventador what type of gasoline or FUEL would you suggest1 that I fuel imyself with? Exactly! Premium and the very highest quality fuel. –
What do you do for energy?
We should be eating a balanced everyday to get the NUTRIENTS we need. So how heathy is your diet? Most people don’t have the same to sit down and get a well balanced meal. Most people just end up eating fast food with low quality nutrition. Is your diet giving you all the vitamins, minerals and nutrients you need? Foods like fish, chicken, pork loin, bananas, green peas, beans and peanut butter. You may have heard about PHYTONUTRIENTS and how essential they are for your health.
Now let’s talk about why you need those nutrients and the benefits they bring. Apples give your the PHYTONUTRIENT known as QUERCETIN an important phytonutrient fro your heart health. Oranges have a phytonutrient known as HESPERUDIN which helps with circulatory health. Raspberries contain ELLAGIC Acid for free radical protection. Green tea contains EGCG important for heart health. Raw spinach is loaded with LUTEIN for eye health. LYCOPENE comes from tomatoes and is essential for heart health and prostate health. Omega 3’s come from fresh water fish and protect your joints and help with healthy blood flow. These are just a few of the nutrients that a well balanced diet will provided so you can have the FUEL you need for a well balanced active life! Vitamin B12 helps with Energy production and well as magnesium.
So how much is good health worth to you and your family. Why do I need to supplement? The American Medical Association recommends that all adults take one multivitamin daily. This is true even if you already eat a diet rich in fresh, whole, natural foods, because the foods you consume often don’t supply all the vitamins and minerals you need, at the recommended levels.
